This week, in Dance, we have continued to learn new dances for our summer production and combined these dances with other classes. In Art, we have completed our portrait key piece using the tinting and toning techniques to create skin colour. In Maths, we have been learning about money and how to add and subtract amounts. Also, in RE we have been learning about different head coverings for the Islamic women for example the Hijab. We also learned about balanced and unbalanced forces. When forces are balanced, an object won’t move, when the forces are unbalanced, the forces will change direction, speed, or shape. We tested this on the field playing ‘Tug of War’.

Our Flashback 4 questions on Blooket this week were:

1.Friction makes objects what? Speed up, slow down, change shape, change direction?

2.What are tertiary colours?

3.A unit fraction has what number on the numerator?

4.What is our county called?

Next week, we will be carrying out a friction investigation, asking “Which material create the most friction?” We will also be planning our Geography fieldtrip thinking about the impact of tourism on our community.

Our spelling rule next week is “k‘’ sounding words: physical, category, abstract, detect, chronological, chronic, scheme, impact, location, question, technology, communicate

Next week, Dance will be on Monday, Tuesday and Friday afternoon.
