In Maths We have been focusing on adding and subtracting decimals with the same number of decimal places, building our confidence with place value and calculation accuracy.

In Writing, we’ve been refining our poetry skills and working on our final polished pieces, paying close attention to language, rhythm, and imagery.

During Reading, we've been bringing The Tempest to life by experimenting with our voices and practising projection to enhance our performance skills.

In Science, we investigated how the surface area of an object affects water resistance, conducting practical experiments to support our understanding.

We had a fantastic time in Driffield at the Food and Farming Day! We learned about food production, watched a live sheep shearing demonstration to see where wool comes from, and met Maeve — an incredibly intelligent working sheepdog.
In Art, we completed and evaluated our Mayan pottery, reflecting on the techniques and design choices we used.

Next half term, we’ll be exploring exciting new questions:
• What is it like to perform Shakespeare at Hull Truck Theatre?
• How do I add and subtract decimals with different numbers of decimal places?
• What is the universe?
• What is global warming, and how do climates differ across the world?
• How do I arrange and mix my own HipHop compositions using Yu Studio?
