This week in class we have been learning about: In science we asked ‘how does an ice cubes state of matter change?’. In RE we asked the question ‘What do our senses tell us about Hindu worship?’. In Computing, we used our knowledge of ScratchJr to create a sequence using speech settings. In Art we have been focusing on ‘The Great Wave’ created by Katsushika Hokusai. In Jigsaw, we have looked at friendships focusing on trust and appreciation.

Our Flashback 4 questions have been:

Today: What fraction is equivalent to 2/4?

2. This/last week: What objects would we find on a Hindu home shrine?

3. Last term: What do plants need to grow?

4. Last term:  Can you name 5 different places of worship?

Next week we will be bringing together the different things we have learnt to create our key pieces on the following topics: RE, Jigsaw, Writing and Science!

In Phonics: most of the children are now learning the Set 3 sounds (see sound mats in bookbags to support your child with their learning). Please continue to read and change their books regularly.

Book Bags: please send your child with their books on a Monday to be changed for the week. Please read the book several times until they are fluent and no longer sounding out all the words.
